“It’s my shout.”不是我要大声说话

在澳大利亚，几个人一起喝咖啡、吃午饭或去酒吧时，有人说“It’s my shout.”，意思通常是“这次我来买单”，不是“我要喊一声”。

A: Who’s getting the coffees?
B: It’s my shout. What are you having?

shout 在这里是澳大利亚和新西兰英语里的非正式用法，可以说“I’ll shout you a coffee.”，也可以轮到自己时说“My shout.”。它原本常用于一轮酒，今天也自然用于咖啡、午餐等小额请客。

如果是正式商务宴请，直接说“I’ll get this”或“This one’s on me”更中性。“It’s my shout”带有轻松、同伴之间轮流付钱的感觉。
