“I’ll chase it up.”不是“我会追它”

在澳大利亚职场里，“I’ll chase it up.”常表示“我去查进展”或“我来催办”，不是去追东西。chase up带有主动追问的意味，英国英语也常用。

A: The refund still hasn’t arrived.
B: I’ll chase it up with accounts.

代词要放在中间，说chase it up。较中性可说“I’ll follow up with accounts.”。chase有时显得催得较紧。
