Why Doesn’t “How Did You Go?” Necessarily Ask About Travel?

“How did you go?”为什么不一定问“你怎么去的”?

在澳大利亚英语里,考试、面试或办完事后听到“How did you go?”,通常问“结果怎样”,不是问交通方式。可答“Pretty well.”、“Not great.”或“I got the job.”

若真问怎么到达,说“How did you get there?”更清楚。“How did it go?”在其他英语中也常见。别与“How are you going?”混淆:后者常问近况,前者回看已发生的事。
