“I’d better get going.”就是“我该走了”

“I’d better get going.”常用于结束聚会、拜访或谈话，相当于“我该走了”。它比“I’m leaving.”柔和，因为把离开表示为时间或情境带来的需要。

这里’d是had；had better谈现在或将来具体情境中的合宜行动。不要说“I should better go.”；可说“I should go.”，但更直接。例：“It’s getting late. I’d better get going.”在澳洲口语里这很自然，并非澳洲独有。
