Time is the dimension through which events, change, and sequence become intelligible. We organize experience through past, present, and future, and we measure life through time.
Time matters because without it change, memory, planning, and history would be unintelligible. In everyday life, the present seems to pass. But physics and philosophy ask whether time really flows like a river, or whether past, present, and future are ways human beings structure experience. The central debate is whether time is an objective feature of reality or a form through which consciousness and language organize the world. Modern technology fragments time through instant communication, short videos, and algorithmic reminders. The question of time finally returns to life: how should we arrange a finite life?
