This edition covers changes formally announced or reliably verified around the period from 7:53 am on 22 October to 7:53 am on 23 October 2026, Australia/Sydney time. It includes four items.
AAIF accepts four agent-infrastructure projects
The Linux Foundation announced on 22 October that the Agentic AI Foundation had accepted Agent Skills, Open Responses, OpenEnv and OpenSandbox, contributed respectively by Anthropic, OpenAI, Hugging Face and Alibaba. The four projects already existed; the change is their transfer into neutral-foundation governance and maintenance. Their scope covers portable agent skill packages, request and tool-call formats, interfaces for training and execution environments, and isolated code, browser and tool runtimes. AAIF now hosts 10 projects, compared with three at its launch in December 2025. The announcement does not set a deadline for implementations to become mutually compatible or merge the projects into one standard. Each project continues to maintain its own specification, versions and licence.

Google Cloud announces Agent Compute Engine
Google Cloud announced Agent Compute Engine on 22 October as a way to give persistent agents separate microVMs. Each instance has its own guest kernel, root file system, short-lived identity and persistent disk, while service credentials are injected at an egress layer outside the microVM. The platform can also pause, checkpoint and resume idle instances. Compared with ordinary containers or shared processes, the new boundary isolates each agent using Cloud Hypervisor and Titanium hardware. The service already supports Google's own Gemini agent workloads, but the managed customer product is only slated for preview in the coming months and is not generally available. The open-source Agent Substrate for GKE is available now. Google reports up to tenfold higher density and validation with 200,000 agents, 500 activations per second and suspend-resume latency below 500 milliseconds; there is no published independent reproduction of those figures.

LiteLLM 1.107.0 build artefacts are compromised
LiteLLM disclosed and contained a supply-chain incident on 21 October. All seven malicious PyPI wheels for version 1.107.0 were available from 11:39 to 13:23 UTC. Docker Hub tags v1.107.0, latest, main-latest and main-stable, along with corresponding GHCR images, were also affected for limited periods. The malicious code included a credential stealer and remote-code loader and used Python's startup mechanism, so explicitly importing LiteLLM was not required. The project confirmed that the Git tag itself had not been altered; contaminated artefacts came from an attacker-controlled lookalike build repository. Affected packages were removed and image tags withdrawn or repointed. Unlike this series' earlier record of security defaults in the stable 1.104 release, this is a newly confirmed artefact compromise. The official guidance is to treat environments that ran an affected artefact as compromised, roll back and pin 1.106.2, and rotate credentials. Enterprise private registries were unaffected, and the investigation remains open.

NVIDIA releases the Minerva AI-factory operations platform
NVIDIA released Minerva on 22 October as a platform that combines telemetry and a knowledge graph linking GPUs, SuperNICs, switches, cables and jobs for anomaly detection, failure prediction, event correlation and root-cause analysis. It includes a natural-language operations assistant and can connect external agents to diagnostic or automated workflows; each deployment can retain human approval. NVIDIA says the system analyses billions of data points per hour, that IREN is using it, and that several other companies plan deployments. Those operating-scale, adoption and planned-deployment claims are vendor disclosures without a published independent performance reproduction. The announcement does not provide uniform pricing, general download terms or operational dates for every partner, so planned deployments are not treated as completed.
