\u5bf9\u4e86\uff0c Mike\u5c31\u662f\u592a\u559c\u6b22Apex lookout \u8fd9\u4e2a\u666f\u70b9\u624d\u5728\u9000\u4f11\u540e\u4eceGoulburn\u642c\u5230Taree\u7684\u3002\u6211\u66fe\u7ecf\u4e5f\u6709\u8fc7\u7c7b\u4f3c\u7684\u60f3\u6cd5\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I ran into Mike while walking here. He greeted me warmly and told me about the recent floods in Taree, showing me several flood videos he had stored on his phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said he had to hurry home to check on his washing machine, but he clearly had a lot to say. Just before leaving, he mentioned there\u2019s a Chinese person living nearby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I told him I visited here last July and saw a Chinese man pushing a stroller\u2014it looked like he was with his grandson. Mike corrected me and said it wasn\u2019t a grandson, but the man\u2019s own child. He had remarried and taken a young Vietnamese wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mike asked about my job and where I was headed next. Since he seemed genuinely curious, I gave him my website link, hoping he\u2019ll check out my travel journal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps this is why small towns are always full of stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
