class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u603b\u4e4b\uff0c\u201c\u8e22\u77f3\u5934\u201d\u7684\u4f8b\u5b50\u8868\u9762\u4e0a\u662f\u4e00\u79cd\u8f7b\u7387\u7684\u53cd\u9a73\uff0c\u4f46\u5b83\u5b9e\u9645\u4e0a\u89e6\u53ca\u4e86\u54f2\u5b66\u6700\u6839\u672c\u7684\u95ee\u9898\uff1a\u7ecf\u9a8c\u7684\u771f\u5b9e\u6027\u5982\u4f55\u4e0e\u4e16\u754c\u7684\u72ec\u7acb\u6027\u8054\u7cfb\u8d77\u6765\uff1f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u8fd9\u5757\u77f3\u5934\u5e76\u6ca1\u6709\u7ed9\u51fa\u4e00\u4e2a\u6700\u7ec8\u7b54\u6848\uff0c\u4f46\u5b83\u903c\u8feb\u6211\u4eec\u601d\u8003\uff1a\u5f53\u6211\u4eec\u611f\u5230\u75bc\u75db\u65f6\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u7a76\u7adf\u5728\u63a5\u89e6\u4e16\u754c\uff0c\u8fd8\u662f\u4ec5\u4ec5\u5728\u63a5\u89e6\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u5fc3\u7075\uff1f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Philosophical Parable of Kicking a Stone: The Reality of Pain and the Existence of Matter<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A famous anecdote in the history of philosophy tells us that Samuel Johnson, upon hearing Bishop Berkeley\u2019s idealism, considered it absurd. He kicked a stone hard, hurt his foot, and exclaimed: \u201cThus I refute Berkeley!\u201d On the surface, this seems like an easy refutation of idealism. Yet in fact, it raises a profound question: Does the reality of pain prove the independent existence of matter?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Idealist\u2019s Response: Pain Is Real, But Only as an Idea<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Berkeleyan idealism does not deny the reality of pain. On the contrary, it insists that pain is one of the most vivid and undeniable experiences we have. However, this does not prove that the stone exists independently of the mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the framework of idealism:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pain is real as a direct experience of the mind.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The stone does not independently exist; what we call a \u201cstone\u201d is a set of ideas arranged by God in our perception.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thus, the experience of \u201ckicking a stone\u201d is not an external causal interaction but the ordered combination of ideas in the mind.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The idealist may add: in a dream, one may also \u201ckick a stone\u201d and feel pain. Since the dream stone does not independently exist but the pain is still real, this shows that pain does not necessarily imply an external material cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Realist\u2019s Position: Pain Points to External Causality<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the realist\u2019s perspective, Johnson\u2019s act was not meaningless. Pain is not just a private sensation; it seems to point to an external cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If we kick the air, we feel no pain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If we kick a stone, we feel pain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This difference suggests that pain is grounded in an independent causal structure. The hardness of the stone and its contact with the body produce the sensation. To deny the independent existence of matter risks leaving such causal regularities unexplained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Kant\u2019s Middle Path: Reality Within the Phenomenal World<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kant\u2019s transcendental idealism offers a middle way. He would say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pain, as an empirical phenomenon, is unquestionably real.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>But its explanation lies within the causal laws of the phenomenal world: the stone (phenomenon) strikes the foot (phenomenon), producing pain (phenomenon).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This does not allow us to infer the stone as a \u201cthing-in-itself,\u201d but neither does it reduce pain to a mere illusion of the mind.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this way, Kant preserves the reality of experience without collapsing into Berkeley\u2019s idealism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, the \u201ckicking the stone\u201d example may sound like a lighthearted refutation, but it touches the deepest issues of philosophy: How does the reality of experience relate to the independence of the world?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For the idealist, pain is real but belongs to the mind;
